The village of Paliouri is a traditional settlement whose ancient city, named after Therambos, is already mentioned by Herodotus. Archaeological findings and remains of the Roman settlement were found on the nearby peninsula of Agios Nikolaos.
Today Paliouri is the heart of the peninsula of Kassandra, famous for its breathtaking beaches with clear, pure blue water and silky sand, accompanied by a magnificent green landscape.
